About Waterside Apartment 3

Luxurious 1st Floor Modern Waterside Apartment with fabulous Haven Views, sleeps 4
  • There are fabulous panoramic views over the Haven Waterway from almost every room in this luxury 1st floor waterside apartment (reached by either internal lift or staircase).
  • The apartment has clean lines - wooden floors, stylish modern furniture - and is equipped with all you need for a Pembrokeshire break at any time of year.
  • The comfortable open plan living/dining room faces out through broad bi-fold doors onto a glazed modern balcony.
  • Enjoy breakfast on the balcony or pre dinner drinks with friends while you watch the sun glinting on the river as the watery world goes by. Or sit up in the master bed before you go to sleep and watch the night time lights reflected in the inky water.
  • Entertain your cook from the well-equipped kitchen's diner-style bar while he/she creates your chosen delicacy.  You are never far from the view which is to be seen through the kitchen's sunny porthole window and picture door to the balcony.
  • For those enthusiastic about technology there is a smart tv connected to the Wifi, remote controlled blinds and screens in every room.
  • This is an apartment for serious holiday indulgence!

Milford Haven Promenade, Marina and Museum
  • A short stroll from the apartment is the promenade along Hamilton Terrace. Named after the founder of the town, this is a pleasant walk along the water's edge towards the docks.
  • These were originally the home to a mighty fishing fleet but are now more recently developed into a modern marina with some fabulous yachts, lots of bobbing boats and a range of interesting new shops and restaurants.  There is a bustling atmosphere and the marina is well worth a visit.
  • Eat a fish and chips supper in Gordon Bennett's traditional fish and chips restaurant in the very location where fish was once landed daily when Milford Haven was still a thriving fishing port.

  • At the entrance to the docks is the town Museum.  This is informative and dynamic with staff who will be delighted to answer your questions.
The Torch Theatre
  • A popular Pembrokeshire venue, this is a vibrant theatre with a year-round programme of performances of plays, music and film.  If you are lucky you might catch a streamed National Theatre Live performance. Check the website for up to date details.
Milford Haven Golf Club
  • Just a 10 minute drive from the Apartment is the Milford Haven Golf Club - with a warm and welcoming club house serving excellent food and a challenging 18 hole course with panoramic views over the Haven Waterway. The Club welcomes prospective members and visitors alike - whatever your level of skill.

The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path
  • Now part of the All Wales Coast Path, this 186 mile coastal path borders the whole Pembrokeshire coastline.  Choose your route and join the path for the section which appeals. The scenery and wildlife are stunning at all times of year and whatever the weather, but if you visit in the early summer you will find the cliffs carpeted in wildflowers.
River Cleddau Cruises
  • Indulge yourself in a cruise from the marina at Neyland into the upper reaches of the Cleddau River.  The Haven has over 20 miles of navigable water to explore, most beyond the reach of commercial navigation.
  • The river is a haven for bird and wildlife - a quiet, tranquil place often known as the ‘Secret Waterway’. With many of the beaches designated SSSI, enjoy the peace, listen to the birdsong and the rustle of the breeze in the reeds.
Eating Out in Pembrokeshire
  • Pembrokeshire is a great place for eating out - and if you would like to take your meal looking out over the sea you will be spoiled for choice.  The Fishguard Bay Hotel; The Shed Bistro at Porthgain; The Harbour Inn at Solva; The Druistone Hotel at Druidston Haven; The Jolly Sailor at Burton; The Ferry Inn at Pembroke Dock; Coast Restaurant in Saundersfoot.
  • A short list to start you off but far from exhaustive - perhaps your holiday activity could be to search out the rest?
Family Days Out
  • The County is full of great things to do on a family day out.  For themed visits go south and try the Anna Ryder Richardson Wild Welsh Zoo or Heatherton World of Activities, Oakwood or the Tenby Dinosaur Park.
  • For less extreme entertainment you might try Picton Castle for beautiful gardens and a Spanish themed restaurant.  Scolton Manor, just north of Haverfordwest is a Victorian manor house, museum and award winning visitor centre set in 60 acres of country park and woodland - discover the life habits of bees, eat food fresh from the walled kitchen garden or just enjoy the grounds.

Cycle the Brunel Trail

  • The Brunel Cycle Trail starts from nearby Neyland and is a peaceful, traffic-free, track built for cycles along a disused railway line. Cycle through a nature reserve where herons, otters and lots of other wildlife leves peacefully in the man-made lagoons.
Bosherston Lily Ponds
  • There is an easy walk around Bosherston's beautiful lily ponds, mostly along even gravel paths with two narrow causeways across the water. Visit in June and July to see the lilies in full bloom - they are a stunning sight.  Go from there to see the dunes and pools of the Mere Pool Valley behind Broadhaven South beach. This walk is rich in wildlife all year round.

Bosherston Village
  • No visit to this small village is complete without tea at ‘The Olde Worlde Café’. Owned and run by Aunty Vi - a true local legend, with a café menu unchanged for over 70 years – perhaps the best Welsh Rarebit to be found anywhere and lovely cakes too!

  • There is also a a pub, St Govans’s Inn (good bar food) and 2 miles to the south, nestled between the steep cliffs of the south Pembrokeshire coastline is St Govan’s Chapel which is free to visit, although the only access is down steep steps carved into the side of the cliff. Count the number of steps down – tradition has it that it will be a different count on the return climb!

Customer Reviews

We spent one week here with our two children, aged 11 and 7. The boys rated the apartment 'better than home' - it has everything you could think of and more with lovely touches like board games, binoculars to watch the passing ships and a very welcome bottle of wine, or two! It is spacious and extremely well presented with modern furnishings, a well equipped kitchen and an amazingly powerful shower, not to mention televisions in most rooms so no fighting over what to watch! Caroline was so helpful and welcoming and the home grown tomatoes were delicious! This was the perfect base from which to explore Pembrokeshire, with no shortage of attractions for families. We particularly enjoyed the Blue Lagoon water park, rock climbing with the National Trust at Stackpole and the many beaches, from the rocky bay at St Brides for rock pooling to wide sandy bays at Broad Haven and Newgale for swimming and sand castles.
